A presentation by Doonesbury creator, Garry Trudeau
In honor of John McMeel
Join the Rockhurst University community for a presentation honoring the McMeel family. Hear from the creator of the legendary Doonesbury comics, Garry Trudeau, who will discuss how artistic expression and humor can express wisdom and leadership, two of the six Jesuit core values of Rockhurst University.
Learning, leadership and service through comics will be the theme of a new McMeel Family Gallery of comic strips, which will be housed within Rockhurst’s new academic building set to break ground in the spring of 2014.
The gallery will feature some of Trudeau’s work along with a number of other featured artists.
The event is free and open to the public as part of the University’s academic building groundbreaking celebration.
